Formula 1 announce 2019 calendar
Formula 1 has announced the 2019 F1 calendar. confirming that the World motorsport council has approved the calendar.
The 2019 season would once again begin in Australia but the season would commence a little early on the 17th of March.
There are going to be 21 races in the 2019 calendar, with Abu Dhabi once again having the opportunity to host the final race of the season.
A massive topic of discussion in the calendar was going to be about the triple headers. However, Liberty Media and the F1 authorities have decided against the triple headers for the 2019 season, after multiple requests from teams.
The triple headers were bringing about a lot of fatigue in the system, as teams were facing logistics issues and the staff was being overworked in those 3 weeks of intense and unforgiving action.

There had been a lot of talk about reducing the number of grand prix from 21 to 17-18 so as to not cramp the year with a lot of races, but that clearly hasn’t been accepted, as the authorities feel that the 21 race calendar is optimum.
A few of the other fans want more races, so that all their weekends are occupied by Formula 1.
Too many 16-18 was the perfect number made every one feel like an event to look forward too. God knows what’ll be like if/when Liberty get to their 25 race target #ItsF1NotNascar

Me thinks about 30 is the right number so we can have something to look forward to every weekend 😉
