Raikkonen’s brilliant reply to journalist when asked about his wife’s social media activity

Kimi Raikkonen is one athlete that you would least expect to be socially active. But such is the pull of the current social media world that even athletes who generally don’t indulge in a lot of the off field/track activities, need to use their social media channels to converse and engage with their fan base.

Raikkonen too has had to give into the social media syndrome, though he doesn’t quite post any and everything about his life on it.

Kimi’s demeanour and mannerisms have earned him a very loyal fan base and he keeps them entertained with timely posts about his life.

But Kimi’s wife Mintu does post a lot of stuff from Kimi’s family life. When asked about it, Kimi came up with a typical response, saying that though Mintu posts a lot of stuff, people still don’t know anything about his actual off-track life.

Sky Sports journalist was interviewing Kimi at Austin today when he asked him about how he celebrated his birthday and about how a lot of his activities back home had been documented on Instagram, thanks to Mintu.

The journalist said that people were now aware about Kimi’s life.

Kimi replied, “There’s a lot that you don’t know… that’s for sure.”.

Raikkonen will be in that Ferrari car for only 4 more races now, with his move to Sauber in 2019 confirmed.

Kimi would be hoping for a strong finish to his Ferrari career and a good showing here in Austin would not only boost his own confidence but also help Ferrari challenge Mercedes in constructor’s championship, a title that Ferrari can still go all out for with 4 races remaining.
