WATCH: On board video of Ocon before Verstappen crash

The Verstappen-Ocon collision was the highlight of a very exciting weekend in Brazil, with Lewis Hamilton claiming the race win and Mercedes claiming their 5th straight constructor’s title.

The collision brought about a change in the race result and Verstappen was absolutely livid with it as looked certain to take victory, owing to Mercedes not being able to do pretty well on the tyres in Sao Paolo.

The scenes got even uglier post the race when Verstappen pushed Ocon in the garage over the weighing scales.

Ocon was sorry for Verstappen but kept defending himself about how he was faster than Verstappen at that point and was well within his rights to un lap himself.

He was on a pair of fresh tyres and had enough pace to un lap himself and was advised by his engineer that he could do it.

Verstappen was also told by engineer that because Ocon was on fresher set of tyres he could maybe overtake him.

On the straight, Ocon slipped towards Verstappen’s right and then tried to take the racing line, but Verstappen left him very little space and the two cars collided, much to the disappointment of Max and Red Bull.

The new on board video shows that Ocon wasn’t quite doing anything wrong and maybe Max should have been a little more cautious with the race win on the line.

Having said that Ocon too should have maintained a little distance especially when it was the race leader in question.
