Kamran Akmal misses Umar Akmal’s stumping chance: Veteran Pakistan wicket-keeper missed a chance to stump his brother.

During the fifth match of the ongoing T10 League between Punjabi Legends and Maratha Arabians at Sharjah, veteran Pakistan wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal missed a simple chance to dismiss his younger brother in Umar Akmal.

In which was a lazy attempt of fielding behind the stumps, the video of the same has gone viral across various social media platforms.

Earlier, Dwayne Bravo, captain of Arabians, had won the toss and put the opposition in to bat. In their allotted quota of 10 overs, Legends scored 121-6. Umar Akmal, who came in to bat at No. 6, top-scored for his team, posting 31 (18) with the help of four fours and a six. With bowling figures of 2-0-18-3, Richard Gleeson was the pick of the Arabians’ bowlers.

Rising to the occassion, the Legends’ bowlers bundled out the opposition on 78 in 9.2 overs. Barring Alex Hales (32) and Najibullah Zadran (17), no other Arabian batsmen crossed the double digit mark.

With bowling figures of 1.2-0-6-4, Chris Jordan was the pick of the bowlers for Legends.

Kamran Akmal’s missed chance happened in the eighth over of Legends’ innings when Rashid Khan bowled a wide delivery to deceive Umar Akmal after he had stepped out of his crease.

With minimal foot movement from the 36-year old wicket-keeper, it saw him missing the ball altogether, something which the bowler wasn’t happy at. Watch the full vide below:
