MS Dhoni stumps Shaun Marsh: The Indian wicket-keeper made up for his mistakes in the third ODI against Australia.
During the third ODI of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia at Melbourne, former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni affected yet another stumping as he was seen playing a vital role in dismissing Australia batsman Shaun Marsh.
Dhoni, who had earlier dropped Marsh off India all-rounder Kedar Jadhav, made up for his mistake as Marsh didn’t cause much trouble after a reprieve.

Highest Percentage Of Stumped Dismissals In ODIs (50+ outs):
10.39 Nasser Hussain (8/77)
10.00 SHAUN MARSH (6/60)
9.62 Tom Moddy (5/52)
8.22 K Arthurton (6/73)
8.00 Roy Dias (4/50)#AUSvIND— Sikandar Khosa (@SikandrKhosa) January 18, 2019
It all happened on first delivery of the 24th over when Marsh’s attempt of stepping out of his crease on a leg-side wide delivery saw him struggling after Dhoni collected the cleanly and dislodged the bails. Marsh, who came in to bat at No. 4, ended up scoring 39 (54) with the help of three fours.

Yuzvendra Chahal, who was among one of the three changes made by India to their playing XI, affected a dismissal in only his second over would have brought delight to the team management.
Chahal dismissing Usman Khawaja (34) in the same over would have brought regret for India captain Virat Kohli for he delayed the leg-spinner’s introduction into the attack. Citing two southpaws in the middle, Kohli preferred to go ahead with the all-rounders in debutant Vijay Shankar and Kedar Jadhav.

Having said that, Kohli’s move has ensured that India have completed their fifth bowler’s quota of 10 overs. With the opposition four down for 101, India can now attack with all their specialist bowlers.
