Ravindra Jadeja makes a sound comeback: Playing an ODI after more than a year, Ravindra Jadeja has impressed one and all.

During the first match of the Super Four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup between India and Bangladesh at Dubai, Ravindra Jadeja and former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni combined together to dismiss Mosaddek Hossain.

The Indian bowlers in unison supported the decision of their captain Rohit Sharma to bowl first. At the time of writing this article, comeback man Jadeja has been the pick of the Indian bowlers picking up bowling figures of 10-0-29-4.

Jadeja was introduced into the attack as the second-change bowler in the 10th over. After being hit for a couple of boundaries by Shakib Al Hasan, Jadeja dismissed the Bangladeshi all-rounder to make things even between them.

After starting his spell by taking a wicket in his first over, Jadeja took his fourth wicket in his last over. It happened on the second delivery of the 34th over when Hossain’s attempt to play a slog sweep against Jadeja saw him top-edging the ball which was easily taken by Dhoni behind the stumps.

Having watched the batsman’s intention to play such a shot, Jadeja had deliberately slowed the pace on the ball. As a result, the batsman stood no chance to hit across the line. Hossain ended up scoring 12 (43).

With his clinical spell, Jadeja attracted a lot of approbation on social media platform Twitter. Watch some of the tweets below:
