“These Look the Same”: New York Jets Jersey Reveal Flops as Fans Fail to Spot Any Difference
Just a few days before draft day in Detroit, the New York Jets have revealed their new jerseys and logo. As Aaron Rodgers and the players walked into the team facility for their first day of voluntary workouts, the club’s social media team got to work on the release of their newly designed uniforms. This highly anticipated drop, however, did not quite meet the expectations of many fans. They are basically claiming that there’s no difference between the old jerseys and the new ones. First, let’s have a look at the reveal by the New York Jets:
Most fans, or social media users on X, did not see any difference between the old and the new ones. And those who did see them as different quipped that the Jets were doing all this just to lose to certain teams. It was not a very good show for them. However, die-hard fans and those who understand the nuances of their design history extended their appreciation and voiced their support. Take a look:

These people could be right or they could also carry little to no knowledge of the history of the Jets uniform. And for those asking, there was a Good Samaritan willing to point out what’s new.
For those that cant tell the diff…

The Green Gang Nation and veteran fans, who have been following the storied franchise for decades, understood what was going on with the release and offered support and admiration to the front office instead of teasing the teams working hard behind it.
Jets New Uniforms Find Love and Support As Well
Their reveal fairly encapsulated the hyper-modern video bit and the combination of legacy and trend. Fans were in favor of bringing back vintage designs and giving a shoutout to the era of football that saw them play some of their most legendary games in history. Those in favor of the reveal had this to say:
Jersey numbers look so much better, also love the simple helmet design. Solid 7.5/10, can’t really go wrong with simple

this is a change the fanbase has been craving for years now. the #Jets did a phenomenal job permanently bringing back their 80s-90s look — i tip my hat to those involved in the re-design for delivering on the uniform we all know and love
look good, play good

Owner Woody Johnson even revealed their new logo at One Jets Drive—one that found support and just plain, simple love:
Love to see it

But was that the popular sentiment? Well, that’s debatable. More than a few supporters explained why the Jets went in the direction they did; however, it was still not enough for the wider social media audience of X to accept the subtle changes or appreciate the massive reveal. While critics and fans voice their two cents, it’s worth mentioning that even other teams, like Detroit, are planning to unveil their new designs. But will they take a careful look at what went down with the Jets?
