Denis Suarez to Arsenal: In another interesting development in Denis Suarez’s transfer saga, Barca are close to agreeing on a loan move for the player.

Denis Suarez’s transfer saga has gained momentum in the early hours of Tuesday. After it was reported merely hours ago that Barcelona have pulled out of negotiations for a loan move for Denis Suarez, new reports now emerge, which state that the deal is set to go through.

The Barcelona midfielder has been one of the priority targets for Arsenal this season. Unai Emery has formerly worked with Suarez during his time at Spain, and has been vocal over the rumours and his preferred playing position for the midfielder.

The Arsenal head coach earlier stated that the club ‘can’t’ sign new players in the January transfer window, but the possibility of a loan deal exists.

And now, various reports from Spain, including noted journalist Gerard Romero have now confirmed that Suarez would be on his way to Arsenal.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates, and Gunners’ fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the move looks increasingly close.

Gerard Romero, as well as various other Spanish media outlets, have now reported that Denis Suarez will join Arsenal on a loan deal till the end of the season this month.

It has been understood that Denis Suarez will sign a one-year contract extension at Barcelona till 2021, which will then trigger his loan move to Arsenal.

Arsenal, however, will have an option to buy the midfielder for a transfer fee in the region of 20-25m euros at the beginning of the new season.

Denis Suarez previously played under Unai Emery during his time at Sevilla, where he played 47 games across all competitions as the Spanish side lifted the Europa League trophy that season.

The arrival of the Barca midfielder comes as a huge boost for Arsenal as they have had a shaky few weeks.
