Melbourne Stars spoof video: A video of the BBL franchise being compared to a sitcom has gone viral across social media platforms.

A fan of the Big Bash League has created a spoof video of popular franchise Melbourne Stars. The video was uploaded on news aggregator Reddit and has been dully accepted by the fans of the tournament.

The video depicts Melboune Stars as a 1990s sitcom. It has been made in a way where the opening theme has been depicted with captain Glenn Maxwell, wicket-keeper batsman Peter Handscomb, batsman Nic Maddinson and leg-spinner Adam Zampa introduced as the cast of the sitcom.

Given how well the players have been casted as actors in the video, it will unequivocally burst one and all into laughter. The plentiful comments of approbation which the video has received speak highly about how well it has been received by the viewers.

Talking about the franchise, Melbourne Stars are currently playing the eighth season of the Big Bash League. Among their best performances were in 2013-14 when they finished at the top of the points table and 2015-16 when they ended the season as the runners-up (losing by 3 wickets to Sydney Thunder).

In the ongoing season of the tournament, Stars are currently placed at No. 4 in the points table. In the 12 matches which they have played, Stars have won six and lost six.

Having scored 361 runs in nine matches at an average of 60.16 and a strike rate of 130.79, all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is currently their highest run-scorer. In what speaks highly about Stoinis’ current form, he is also their highest wicket-taker this season. His 14 dismissals have come at an average of 12.35, an economy rate of 7.52 and a strike rate of 9.8.
