Ferrari to have double-stacked exhaust for F1 2019 season
The car livery launches are just round the corner, with Haas having already launched its livery yesterday.
Now, while Haas’ new black and gold livery excited the F1 fraternity, because of the striking similarity with Lotus, Ferrari fans were intrigued by something else.
Last year Ferrari had tried mounting its two turbo wastegate pipes on top of its main exhaust.
It was believed that Ferrari considered that doing so would help reduce aerodynamic drag as tighter packaging of the rear bodywork would be possible.

Now, the livery launch of Haas showed that the car had its exhausts mounted on top of each other, and reports from Motorsport state that Ferrari could have something very similar on their car for the 2019 F1 season.
With the new aerodynamic regulations for 2019, wherein downforce is set to be decreased in order to aid overtaking, this mounted exhaust concept could be used by quite a few teams.

The Ferrari car launch is scheduled for the 15th of February and Ferrari fans would be eager to witness their new challenger, one that could potentially end Mercedes’ dominance at the helm of the sport.
Do you think Ferrari will have the strongest car on the grid this time round?
