Boston Celtics have made Pelicans aware about Anthony Davis interest
Anthony Davis’ impending trade away from the New Orleans Pelicans has attracted a lot of interest from NBA franchises all over.
The Lakers seemed to be in prime spot to secure the services of the Pelicans man, but the Pelicans were in no mood to let the Lakers have their way.
LeBron James and the Lakers had been trying to work Anthony Davis for sometime before he had put in an official trade request, and the Pelicans wanted the Lakers to pay for that ‘supposed tampering’.
Despite offering almost their entire young core, one that comprised of Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma, the Pelicans did not budge and Anthony Davis stayed put even after the Feb 7th trade deadline.

With that having happened, the Celtics, who have also been actively interested in Anthony Davis, received a massive boost.
The Celtics couldn’t really trade Anthony Davis before the Feb 7 deadline, because of the Rose Rule around Kyrie Irving.
Now, with Irving set to be a free agent post the ongoing season, he would either sign a new contract with the Celtics or leave.
In both cases, Celtics will have the option of going all out for Anthony Davis, with keeping Irving being the best possible option.
Davis and Irving will form a potent pair going into next season and could help Celtics rise to the top once again.
Now, in order to make sure that this mega deal goes through, Celtics will need to pay a hefty price, as Anthony Davis is currently one of the hottest properties in the NBA.
Jayson Tatum seems to be going the other way, with the Celtics having informed the Pelicans that any and every player on the Celtics roster could be included in the deal.

Jayson Tatum is sure to play a major role in the Anthony Davis sweepstakes, with the Celtics youngster having confirmed that he is ready to play anywhere.
“I’ll play basketball anywhere,” Tatum told The Athletic. “
I’ll play for whoever wants me. That’s my job. I know I can’t control any of that stuff, so I’m not going to lose sleep over it. Trade talk doesn’t bother me.
“I’ll play for anyone.” he added.
