Formula 1 news: Williams still facing ‘part’ issues confirms Robert Kubica as the team looks set for another torturous weekend
Williams have had the worst possible start to the 2019 season, as they couldn’t get the car on the track for the first two days of Barcelona testing.
Ever since, they have been playing catch up to the other teams, with no real pace or performance in that car. Both Robert Kubica and George Russell have admitted to being disappointed with the car but have pledged that they would do everything possible to get the maximum out of the car.
The Australian GP though showed how poor that Williams package was, as Robert Kubica finished three laps down on the race winner, Valtteri Bottas. The team was expected to work hard on the package in the days leading up to the Bahrain GP, but it seems like Williams are going to be struggling once again, largely due to the lack of spare parts.

“It’s not an easy situation from driver point of view, because we will be limited with spare parts and everything,” Kubica said.
“Looking what happened to me in Australia on Friday in FP1. Going onto the kerb, I got a damaged floor, and we didn’t have bits to replace it and it affected me probably all weekend.
“You have to have a safe approach, but still as I said we have to try and do my best, make sure I’m doing my best.” he added.
Now, while the performance is still an issue, the spare part issue is an added one that the Williams deal has been forced to deal with.
Kubica and Russell seem to be in line for another torturous weekend in Bahrain, unless of course, a few cars in front of them have some technical issues during the race.
Where do you think the Williams duo will finish in Bahrain this weekend?
