Eden Hazard scored a brilliant goal to double Chelsea’s lead in the game after Olivier Giroud converted Hudson-Odoi’s past for the first against Brighton.

Chelsea took a step closer to overtaking Manchester United in the Premier League after Eden Hazard scored an emphatic goal minutes after the second half.

Olivier Giroud gave the side a lead in the first half with an excellent pass from Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Chelsea continued on their attacking rhythm in the second half as Eden Hazard scored the second for the night.

As things stand, the Blues will overtake Manchester United to reach fifth in the Premier League. By the time of the publishing of this article, Tottenham are a goal ahead against Crystal Palace.

Eden Hazard goal vs Brighton:

The Belgian attacker scored a brilliant curler from marginally inside the box after he sent the defender flying with a perfect dribble.

This was Eden Hazard’s 17th goal across all competitions for Chelsea this season. Here’s the goal:

 

Eden Hazard has been a key player for Chelsea this season. However, the speculations surrounding his move away from the club have grown significantly over the past few weeks.

However, this has hardly impacted Hazard’s performances for Chelsea, as he continues to be among the goals and assists for the side.

Chelsea are in the race for a top-4 position, which has grown incredibly intense after Manchester United conceded a shocking 2-1 defeat to Wolves at the Molineux Stadium last night.

With Chelsea and Manchester United set to take on each other at Old Trafford later this month, both the teams cannot afford to drop points.
