Is Giannis Antetokounmpo Playing Tonight vs Nets? Bucks Release Injury Report Ahead of October 27 Clash
Giannis Antetokounmpo has started the season well with two big performances. The Milwaukee Bucks star looks determined to dominate. Unfortunately, despite his performances, the team has 1 win and 1 loss. For the Bucks, the next game will also be a tough nut to crack if Antetokounmpo is sidelined.
Fortunately for the Eastern Conference powerhouse, it is unlikely that he will not suit up for the game. While Giannis is suffering from right patella tendinitis, the team’s official injury report marked him probable for the game.
This is the same injury that plagued the Greek Freak leading up to the season and raised doubts about his presence for the season opener. But Giannis played the Bucks’ season opener and also fought hard during the loss to the Bulls.
Though there is still an air of uncertainty around his availability against the Nets tonight, being probable means the injury isn’t too bad at the moment. Players marked probable suit up during games more often than not.
While the Bucks would be looking to manage his injury and fast-track his recovery, the team is yet to show too much concern for it, which implies the injury is manageable and not at all severe.
Earlier, Doc Rivers also revealed he isn’t too concerned about Giannis’ knee issues, and considering how he has already played two games while dealing with it, there is no reason to believe he would sit out the upcoming games.
With Damian Lillard and the Greek star finally connecting well on the court, this could be exactly what the front office had hoped for last season. The Bucks are expected to be one of the strongest contenders from the East and a legitimate threat to the Celtics.
