Luka Jovic to Real Madrid: Massive breakthrough in Jovic’s deal after Frankfurt director makes huge claim
Eintracht Frankfurt director makes a huge claim about Luka Jovic’s transfer to Real Madrid.
Luka Jovic is the emerging name on the shortlist for plenty of clubs across Europe. The Serbian International is one of the standout performers for Eintracht Frankfurt by scoring 25 goals in all competitions this campaign. He has played a pivotal run in Frankfurt’s Europa League semifinal run, finding the back of the net eight times.
There have been various claims that the Los Blancos’ rivals Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs on the young forward. The Blaugrana see him as a replacement for Luis Suarez, but the landscape has totally changed from the players’ perspective after deciding to join the leading Champions League winners.
The 21-year-old is currently spending his time on-loan from SL Benfica, but the deal will be made permanent after Germany outfit decide to activate the clause in his contract. They sign him for a measly 8.5 million from the Portuguese outfit, but they would struggle to hold him post this summer after shining brightly for Frankfurt.
Amid the growing speculation over Jovic’s future, Eintracht director Bobic told ZDF: “There’s a real possibility that Jovic signs for Real Madrid.
“I hope and want him to stay here at Eintracht, but I’m also realistic and know that if a big club like Real Madrid want him then we haven’t got a chance of keeping him.”
Zinedine Zidane has understood that the club is desperate to fill at least half of the boots of Cristiano Ronaldo in the forward line. Luka Jovic suits the bill for the Los Blancos who see plenty of goals in the young forward after an impressive spell with Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 21-year-old is expected to cost between 60 and 70 million. That price is very much affordable after struggling to strike a deal with Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur for Robert Lewandowski and Harry Kane respectively.
