WWE Criticised by fans over a Tweet | WWE News

WWE Criticised by fans over a Tweet that was meant to promote a charity event in Allentown, Pa on Wednesday.

The WWE took to Twitter to promote a charity event due on Wednesday. The WWE tweeted:

Sports-entertainment enthusiasts in Allentown, Pa. are in for an incredible treat this Wednesday night when WWE and @WXWC4 come together for a great cause.

The tweet drew the ire of the fans for WWE’s refusal to use the word wrestling in a wrestling show. Most replies in the tweet were fans who had either criticised the WWE or were mocking the company.

Who talks like this? Asked one fan while another suggested them to change their company’s name to World Sports entertainment tweeting: “Maybe they should just change the name of the company to WSE – World Sports Entertainment. Tell me that doesn’t make perfect sense.”
