Aaron Wan-Bissaka: Diogo Dalot sends warning to Manchester United’s target as he sets to make a comeback after poor debut season.
Manchester United faced an underwhelming season after they finished sixth in the Premier league, and the major blame to such poor display is being imposed on the Red Devils’ defense.
Thus, Manchester United are looking for brighter prospects at defense in order to bolster their squad ahead of the next season. Hence, Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace is among the priority targets of Ole Solskjaer.
The 21-year-old player is set to take the place of Diogo Dalot, who was signed by the ex-Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho from Porto.
However, the Portuguese defender failed to live up to the expectations and was later dropped by Ole Solskjaer due to poor form and fitness issues, and got replaced by Ashley Young on the right-side of the defense.
This move also did not work out for Manchester United, as the Red Devils continued to struggle in defense. Thus, the club is set to go under a massive overhaul.
However, in recent advancements, Diogo Dalot according to a recent interview on Manchester United’s official website has declared to make a comeback next season.
“I want to make my statement in the team and play as much as I can at right-back because I think it’s my best position. I just need to prove that to the manager with my work,” said Diogo Dalot
“At the end of the season, the results were not what we wanted. But I can say it was a big season for me.
“Playing 23 games, and I only started playing properly and had my fitness in December, so it has been very good for me to have the opportunity to play in some different positions.” he further added.
Therefore, it would be interesting to see, the pecking order at Manchester United if Solskjaer signs Wan Bissaka in this transfer window.

Really don’t understand why we are going after AWB with a 40 million offer when we can sign Thomas Meunier who has experience at the top level with PSG and Belgium and is 27 so we can let Dalot develop over time and is half the price at 20 million. No brainer for me #mufc pic.twitter.com/y5I5nNcqN3

Diogo Dalot has been included in L'Equipe's best U20 players in world football, coming in at number 34. pic.twitter.com/nG4F3jVjle

Dalot wants RB position??
If AWB joins he should knw he won't boss for long, I believe in Dalot with his ability to run and cross effectively, got some dribbling skills too, getting AWB means proper competition In RB,Dalot can go forward, young should turn to a match mascot #mufc pic.twitter.com/401TbY8XjQ— MUFC (@punditlanguage) June 18, 2019
So in all this Wan Bissaka talk and desperate bidding,

Rather than Dalot and Wan-Bissaka competing against each-other, a right-side made up of both of them would be interesting to see. Dalot’s future potentially lies further forward and AWB the better defender by far.
Much rather that then Mata/Lingard out wide.
