Adrian Goalkeeping error vs Southampton gifts the Saints a goal
With less than 10 minutes to go in the match Adrian handed a gift to Southampton. Virgil Van Dijk passed the ball back to Adrian who comfortably collected the ball. However, in a moment of absolute madness, he smashed the ball into Danny Ings. The ball rebounded of the Saints Striker and ran back into Liverpool’s net.

Van Dijk, falling into the field with his arms over his head sums up the situation. This was an unnecessary goal that should not have been conceded. With this result, Liverpool have now failed to keep a clean sheet in all competition in the new season.
Manchester City, Norwich, Chelsea and now Southampton have all found a way to score against Liverpool’s famed back four. The Reds cannot afford to make mistakes like this if they aim to replicate their performance last season.
With Man City looking to hit a hat-trick of Premier League victories, errors like this will just help further the gap between Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola’s men.
