Jim Cornette says Miro is ruined in AEW despite TNT title win

Jim Cornette says Miro is ruined in AEW despite TNT title win. Cornette believes it is too late for the new TNT Champion now.

Miro joined AEW back in September. However, instead of advancing through the company hierarchy, the former WWE star aligned himself with Kip Sabian as his best man. The two eventually split up after Miro turned on him and directed his attention towards Darby Allin.

Miro beat Allin on the May 12 episode of Dynamite to win the AEW TNT Championship. He followed his win with a passionate promo that garnered a lot of attention. Even Jim Cornette acknowledged on his Jim Cornette Experience podcast that he was the best part of the show but went on to add that it was already too late for him.

“Now he looks good. He’s got his gear on, He’s doing a promo like a badass with bass in his voice. He’s not playing video games, He’s not wearing pink Minnie Mouse t-shirts, He’s not hanging around with his little mascot Pip [Kip Sabian] and his little virginal girlfriend Penelope [Ford]. They’re not doing phony sh*t with undercard goofs like The Best Friends.”

“This guy might have gotten over. I mean, it’s too late now because now we know he is a guy who wears fckin’ Minnie Mouse shirts and fckin’ plays video games and goes off with goddamn little Pip to play video games or whatever, but at least it’s good to know he could have gotten over if he came out like this from the start.”

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
