AFC Asian Cup live streaming and TV broadcast: The 17th edition of the continental tournament will begin on January 5.
The 2019 AFC Asian Cup will be the 17th edition of the tournament. The quadrennial men’s football championship is the premier international Asian football competition.
The tournament will take place in the United Arab Emirates from January 5 to February 1. 24 teams will participate in the Asian Cup 2019, which is the highest number of countries in a single tournament in its history.
The tournament will also be played in revised rules, under which 16 teams will be competing in the knock-out round. The third-placed team in each group will be ranked, in the order of preference, according to –
- basis of points
- goal-difference
- goals-scored
- disciplinary of lots, and
- drawing of lots
India will be participating in their fourth Asian Cup tournament, and second in the last 8 years. The side qualified in the 2011 Asian Cup, but failed to secure a place 2015. Australia are the current defending champions of the tournament.
India announced their 28-man provisional squad earlier this week, and the team was the first of the participating nations to reach UAE to begin final preparations for the tournament.
Stephen Constantine’s side has been drawn with host nation UAE, Thailand and Bahrain in the group stages of the Asian Cup. India will kick-start their campaign against Thailand on January 6, who are the lowest-ranked side in the group.

The 19th edition of the AFC Asian Cup will be broadcasted live on the Star Sports network in India, and the live streaming will be available on Hotstar.
The television channels for the AFC Asian Cup are likely to be Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD, while Jio TV is also likely to stream the tournament on their platform.
