Unbeaten India travel to Hampshire to face Afghanistan at the Rose Bowl Stadium. While India have seemed comfortably strong so far in the tournament, Afghanistan have registered no wins.

They have lost all of their games, and have been bowled out in 4 of their 5 games, only exception coming in the last game against England. India officially ruled out star opener Shikhar Dhawan out of the tournament after his injury against Australia. He was replaced by Vijay Shankar for the previous game but me might even get to see Rishabh Pant in the future.

Since India seem to be the clear favourites, a slight compromise has been made while choosing Afghan players to accommodate more Indian players in all scenarios.

AFGH vs IND Dream 11 Prediction

Wicket-keepers for AFGH vs IND Dream 11

India wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni seems to be the obvious option in this category as Afghan wicket-keeper Imkram Ali Khil comes to bat way down the order. Dhoni is batting at a strike rate of 100 and has done some really good power hitting when India has needed.

Batsmen for AFGH vs IND Dream 11

Arguably the best opener in the world, India vice-captain Rohit Sharma has been in dangerously good form. He has scored 2 hundreds in the 3 games so far. Rohit is currently has the 5th most runs in this edition, and has an average of 159. He’s batting at the strike rate of 97.55, and will be my captain for tomorrow’s game.

The best in the world, India captain Virat Kohli can single-handedly turn any situation in his team’s favour. He’s been in great form, and has scored 177 runs in the tournament. His run total includes two half-centuries. He has a strike rate of a 100+ and the batting average of almost 60. You can never rule Virat out of a cricket match and will be key for the team in any situation.

Opening the batting for Afghanistan, Noor Ali Zadran has had a below par campaign scoring only 63 runs in 3 games. However, the 30 year old is a power hitter and once set can give the Indian bowlers a run for their money.

Probably Afghanistan’s best batsman in the tournament, Rahmat comes in at No. 3 in an attempt to bail his team out of situations. He’s scored 101 runs in 5 games and even has a half-century to his name.

All-rounders for AFGH vs IND Dream 11

Amassing a mammoth strike rate of 167, Hardik Pandya is an absolute gem coming in when India needs some runs. He’s scored 89 runs in the tournament and is unstoppable once he is in the groove. Pandya missed his half-century against Australia by 2 runs after scoring 48 in just 27 balls.

Afghanistan’s captain has come out to bat at different occasions for his team. He opened the last game but game but came on at 7 down vs South Africa. He has 100 runs in the tournament with an addition of 5 wickets in 5 games. He can hit it out of the park as well as prevent others from doing so.

Bowlers for AFGH vs IND Dream 11

25-year old Jasprit Bumrah is an indispensable part of the Indian team. He boasts the ODI Rank #1 and has done everything to justify it. He’s taken 5 wickets at this competition, and has been bowling at the average of 29.60. Consider not picking him as a major mistake.

India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal tops Bumrah’s 5 wickets with 6. Chahal has been incredibly clinical and has his strike rate and average of 27 each is a strong testament to that. His unpredictability while bowling will do wonders against what is an indecisive Afghan batting.

The second half of KulCha, Kuldeep Yadav stuck for India vs Pakistan just when they needed it. He amassed 2 wickets in one over and was the venom India needed when other bowlers weren’t working out. Kuldeep is a good pick for 8.5, but Mohammad Shami is a decent alternative to him for the same price.

Hamid Hassan has featured for Afghanistan in 4 games and has picked up only 1 wicket. He’s the best I could get for a remaining 8 credits. However, his ability to not give away a lot of runs might just come in handy. He’s bowling at the economy of 4.54 and will need to be at his absolute best vs a very strong Indian batting lineup.
