Pakistan’s hopes of qualification hang by a thread as they travel to Leeds to face off against Afghanistan in Headingley. They sit sixth on the table with seven points and are at level with Bangladesh.
However, they will need India to pull of a victory against England. Pakistan put together a very unlikely victory against New Zealand in their previous game chasing 237 runs. On the contrary, Afghanistan have been knocked out but will look to register their first ever win in the World Cup.
AFGH vs PAK Dream 11 Prediction
Wicket-keepers for AFGH vs PAK Dream 11
Pakistan captain and wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed is my only wicket-keeper for this match. With Afghanistan’s Ikram Ali Khil batting way down order in the tournament, picking Ahmed is the better option despite he himself not doing exceedingly well for Pakistan.
Batsmen for AFGH vs PAK Dream 11
Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has been in sublime touch in the competition. He has scored 333 runs at an average of 66.60 and a strike rate of 85.16 including one century and two half-centuries. He led the run-chase against New Zealand in the last game scoring 101* (127) with the help of 11 fours.
Pakistan opening batsman Fakhar Zaman might not have had the best of tournament but Afghanistan might just be an opposition which he would be looking to attack against.
Middle-order batsman Haris Sohail was another star performer against New Zealand. Coming in to bat at No. 5, Sohail scored a valiant 68 (76) with the help of five fours and two sixes. Given the form that he has displayed in the last two matches, Sohail would love to get going against an under-performing Afghan bowling attack.
Rahmat Shah opened the batting for Afghanistan alongside captain Gulbadin Naib in their previous match. He has scored 161 runs in seven games. Out of these 161, 50 came against hosts England. Rahmat can also ball and if it does come down to it, he’ll be ready to pick up wickets as well.
All-rounders for AFGH vs PAK Dream 11
A bowler by trait, Naib has been batting pretty well, too. He has accumulated 174 runs in the tournament and has a strike rate of 77. However, his bowling stats are much better. He’s picked up 9 wickets and has an economy of 6.20.

Another Afghani all-rounder, Mohammad Nabi was exceptional in the IPL, but hasn’t exactly replicated the same form. He’s taken 7 wickets in 7 games with the economy of 4.86. He came dangerously close to pulling off a win for his team against favourites India, but was caught out in the last over.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez is strong hitter of the ball. His strike rate of 92 is a testament to the same. He has scored just over 200 runs in this World Cup. His innings of 84 against England was extremely commendable as it helped them pull off an upset.
Bowlers for AFGH vs PAK Dream 11
Mujeeb Ur Rahman has played only 5 games but has picked up just as many wickets. Mujeeb doesn’t concede many and has the economy of 4.57. However, his pick is much more impacted by the lack of better options than by his own individual skill.
Mohammad Amir is the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament, tied with Archer on 16. He’s been absolutely exceptional, and has the economy of 5.10, strike rate of 21 and an average of 17.87.
Amir’s bowling partner in crime, Wahab Riaz’s exceptional bowling has only made him the second best in the Pakistan team. He has 8 wickets to his name including a 3-wicket haul against both South Africa and England.
AFGH vs PAK Fantain Prediction
Talking about the Fantain Prediction, I have selected the same team. On this platform, the same team has saved as many as three credits for me. If a budget constraint stopped you from picking an expensive player in Dream11, you can make the change over here. Having said that, I would suggest you to continue with the same squad.
