For Australia, their foray into their tournament opener couldn’t have been built on a more flawless platform. They managed to traverse past host side England successfully before trouncing Sri Lanka handsomely to register themselves as firm favourites for the clash.
Afghanistan on the other hand stunned Pakistan before eventually being drubbed by England, two performances completely on the opposite side of the river.
