After Ecclestone, FIA President too hints at Ferrari not favouring Vettel
Sebastian Vettel had a tough second half of the season behind the wheel of the Ferrari, one that was marred by silly mistakes and Ferrari losing out on the performance battle with Mercedes.
Hamilton had an error free second half and went from strength to strength as the Mercedes package was improving right until the final race.
Also, Hamilton was being visibly supported by his teammate on track, something that we did not quite see from Ferrari.
A few days back, Bernie Ecclestone had accused Ferrari for not backing Vettel completely, especially during the second half of the season when he needed it the most.
Ecclestone went as far as to say that the team seemed to be favouring Kimi.
“Lewis was outstanding this year but he also had the full support of the team. You can‘t say that for Sebastian. After Marchionne‘s death, a strong hand was missing and there was more chaos than structure.” Ecclestone said.
“From the outside you had the impression that Ferrari did more for Kimi than for Sebastian. Sebastian is a victim not the culprit. If Vettel had the same support like Lewis, Vettel would have also become champion this year.” he added.
What do you mean by that?

Now, FIA President Jean Todt too has hinted at the lack of support for Vettel and Ferrari maybe favouring Kimi.
When asked what exactly is going on at Ferrari, Todt said that he had fair understanding of what was happening, but it would be inappropriate for him to point that out being the FIA President.
“I have a very good understanding of Vettel‘s situation, but both as a former Ferrari team principal and as a FIA president, it is inappropriate to comment on that.” Todt said as quoted by Autobild.

Do you think Todt is hinting at the same thing Bernie was talking about the other day? Was the team not completely behind Vettel?
