Twitter reactions on Tottenham Hotspur progressing to the UEFA Champions League finals.
Tottenham Hotspur have joined Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League finals in an all-English affair at Wanda Metropolitano on May 1. Mauricio Pochettino’s side put in a miraculous performance in the second half after going two-goal down to storm past the young Ajax side.
Matthijs De Ligt scored the opener in the fourth minute and extend the aggregate lead to 2-0. Hakim Ziyech scored an extraordinary goal to put the game beyond the eyesight of the English outfit. Spurs struggled to find their mojo and decided to head into half-time. Mauricio Pochettino’s inspired speech coupled with tactical tweak enabled Spurs to bounce back into the game.
The Argentine International threw Fernando Llorente to change the whole complexion of the game. Llorente was tormenting by winning aerial duels and set up players around him. Dele Alli broke through the counter-attack and set up Lucas Moura, who had to tuck the ball in from close range to cut down the deficit.
Five minutes later, Spurs scored through the same man again. Lucas Moura, with his dancing feet, went past two defenders to slot the ball inside the back of the net in a spectacular fashion. Ajax had a chance through their attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech, but he was only able to hit the crossbar.
In the dying seconds of the game, Lucas Moura came out of nowhere to score the goal and seal a place in the finals of the Champions League.
We shall look at the Twitter reactions between Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur.

Absolutely unbelievable from Tottenham. Truly deserved that win after that second half performance. Ajax team have played well throughout the competition so fair play to them. Would’ve been sick if they had won. Onwards to Madrid #ajatot #AjaxTottenham #UCL pic.twitter.com/MX7C9S4GiD

👏 #Ajax in the Champions League…
– Unbeaten in a group with Bayern, Benfica and AEK
– Drawn against Real Madrid who they scored 5 goals past
– Beat Spurs away in Semis
– Youngest squad in the competition
An incredible effort and an incredible team!#AJATOT pic.twitter.com/cC2VxAEKX1

#LFC and Spurs two sides who’ve been labelled as ‘bottlers’ this season. The idiotic nature of that term now emphasised by the fact one will win the biggest prize club football has to offer.
