Arsenal look set to win their first two Premier League matches for the first time since 2009/10 courtesy a goal from Alexandre Lacazette in the 13th minute of the match. The French forward missed Arsenal’s first game against Newcastle due to an ankle injury. He has since recovered and was immediately placed in the playing XI by Unai Emery.

Loanee Dani Ceballos, who was handed a first team start today, took the corner kick. Lacazette fought Burnley defenders for the ball. He then hustled his way to swivel and sweep the ball between the keeper’s legs and open the account for Arsenal in this match and for himself in the season.

The French Forward then rushed away and celebrated the goal with Aubameyang and the rest of his Arsenal team mates.

Lacazette had a brilliant showing for Arsenal last season. The French star made 35 appearances in the Premier League and scored 13 goals for the Gunner’s. His performances led to supporters of the club voting him Arsenal’s player of the season.

Arsenal have lost 5 of their last 8 opening home matches. It doesn’t look like the trend will continue. A piece of stat that seems to remain untouched is Burnley’s inability to beat the Gunners since their promotion to the Premier League in 2014.
