Alisson’s howler vs United: The Liverpool goalkeeper committed a major howler against Manchester United.
Manchester United are playing Liverpool at Anfield in their 17th game of the Premier League season. While Liverpool aim to regain the spot at the top of the table, United eye to bridge the gap between them and Arsenal to five points as the Gunners dropped points against Southampton.
Liverpool started the game strongly and rallied through Manchester United’s defence, before Sadio Mane finally gave United the lead.
However, Liverpool’s lead was shortlived as Jesse Lingard scored over ten minutes before halftime to bring the game level.
At halftime, the game was level at 1-1. Here’s the goal from Jesse Lingard.
Alisson’s howler vs United:
The Liverpool goalkeeper has been central to the side’s success in the past few weeks. He has been impressive for the side this season, and ensured Liverpool’s qualification in the Champions League round-of-16 as he made an incredible injury-time save against Napoli earlier this week.
However, the goalkeeper committed a major howler against Manchester United at Anfield which gave the visitors an equalizer through Jesse Lingard.
Leading a counter-attack for Manchester United, Romelu Lukaku crossed the ball in the range of the Brazilian, but he failed to collect the ball properly.
Jesse Lingard took advantage of the mistake and fired the ball into the net to bring Mourinho’s side level in the game.

After making the best save we’ve ever seen a few days ago, who would have thought Alisson was capable of such a fuck up 🤷🏻♂️

Only Bernd Leno and Asmir Begović (3) have made more errors leading to Premier League goals this season than Alisson.

Bad mistake by Alisson, but he's made enough big saves to write that off as a costly error rather than sign of his inability. Not yet at Dudek or Karius levels…
