Roma goalkeeper Alisson is heavily linked with Real Madrid.

The Brazilian goalkeeper is set to be the first choice for his country in the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia. However, he continues to make headlines in the transfer market this summer.

The Roma goalkeeper is linked with many clubs across Europe. While Liverpool was earlier linked with Alisson, Chelsea have now entered the race to sign the goalkeeper.

Earlier, Sky’s South American football expert Tim Vickery suggested that Liverpool may try to sign Alisson after Karius’ poor performance during the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

However, the recent developments signify a huge change in the Alisson situation.

Sky journalist and transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Alisson’s transfer would depend on Courtois’ situation at Chelsea.

The Belgian goalkeeper has become a contract rebel at the London club, and the lack of Champions League for the next season could lead him to leave Chelsea this season.

According to di Marzio, “the future for the two goalkeepers is part of a chain reaction.” If Courtois decides to stay at Chelsea, Alisson could leave for Real Madrid. However, if Courtois leaves for Real Madrid, Alisson could move to Chelsea.

di Marzio reports that Roma is expecting offers in the region of 100 million Euros. However, both Chelsea and Real Madrid are considering offers around 70-75 million Euros. No offer has been on the table as of now.

Vickery, meanwhile, reported earlier that Roma may prefer to wait until the world cup ends, as Alisson is the first-choice keeper for Brazil. Some good performances from him may lead to an increase in the Brazilian’s transfer value.
