Andy Robertson clattered Rafinha after promising Sadio Mane that he would get revenge on him during the Club World Cup final against Flamengo.
Liverpool vs Flamengo proved to be a much more passionate and heated much than one would expect from a one off between sides who may not play each other again for years to come. In the heart of it all was Andy Robertson who seemed out to get revenge for his teammate Sadio Mane.
Earlier in the match, Sadio Mane attempted to break with the ball. Flamengo ace Rafinha was seen grabbing the Senegalese. An irate Mane then grabbed the former Bayern Munich player and received yellow for a provocation instigated by Rafinha.
Mane was visibly displeased with the call. However, Liverpool full back Robertson was seen reassuring Mane that he would get back at him. True to his words, in the second half of the match, at the first opportunity to do so, Robertson clobbered the Flamengo full back.

Liverpool would go on to win the match 1-0 after Roberto Firmino’s extra-time winner. However, Robertson and Rafinha were still seen going at each other after the full-time whistle. The fullback had to be pulled away by the referee.

Following Liverpool’s win over Flamengo, the Reds have completed a rare international treble. In the last six months, they have beaten Tottenham to win the Champions league, Chelsea for the UEFA Super Cup and Flamengo to win the Club World Cup.
In doing so, they have become the first Premier League side to do so. Manchester United are the only other English side to have won the Club World Cup. However, they failed to win the European Super Cup and fell short on the International treble.
