Ansu Fati Highlights: Barcelona’s 16-year-old sensation makes fantastic performance against Valencia in the 5-2 victory at Camp Nou.
Barcelona had a comfortable victory against Valencia last night, as the Catalan giants ended the game with the 5-2 scoreline against Los Ches.
This was even more special, since Lionel Messi, arguably the greatest player of this generation was not in the lineup due to a calf injury occurred before the start of the season.
Thus, Ansu Fati, a 16-year-old, La Masia talent was once again given the responsibility of fill in the shoes of Mess, and the youngster did not disappoint, as he opened the score for Barcelona in the 2nd minute of the game.
Further, Fati gave an assist to Frenkie De Jong, who doubled the score in the 7th minute of the game to bring Valencia at the backfoot.
Thus, Fati is the youngest player player to score and give an assist in a single La Liga match. This shows, he had a cracker game against Valencia, and probably helped Barcelona to not miss Messi.
Apart from the goal and assists given by Fati, the Guinea-Bissau born player had a sensational performance, as he seemed comfortable on the ball, and troubled Valencia with his skills and tricks.
While there was to be no goal involvement after that crazy opening to the game, Fati continued to be a thorn in Valencia’s side all evening and almost scored a sensational long shot.
Eventually, Fati was later benched by Ernesto Valverde in the 60th minute to introduce Luis Suarez, who returned in action after getting injured against Athletic Bilbao in the first game-week.
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old prodigy had a wonderful night in Barcelona, and marked his name in the hearts of Barcelona fans, who now consider him as the next big thing.
