Antoine Griezmann: Barcelona about to submit Griezmann's colossal buyout fee at La Liga headquarters

Antoine Griezmann: Barcelona are on the verge of submitting the massive buyout clause fee at La Liga headquarters to acquire Griezmann.

Antoine Griezmann’s transfer saga with Barcelona, born after his announced departure from Atletico Madrid is about to come to an end, as Barcelona are about to hire the French International.

According to a claim by El Chiringuito TV, Barcelona are about to pay Antoine Griezmann’s mammoth release clause of €125 million at the La Liga Headquarters.

The Catalan giants were the forerunners in the pursuit of Griezmann this summer, even though the 27-year-old player snubbed Barcelona last summer, while the latter were only an inch close to sign him.

However, an year later, Griezmann announced his departure from Los Rojniblancos, only to join Barcelona. The World Cup winning forward is a versatile player upfront, and with Luis Suarez past his prime, Griezmann seems as an appropriate option.

Thus, Ernesto Valverde favoured to sign him, in order to bolster Barcelona’s front-line. On the other side, Atletico Madrid are reportedly furious on both the parties, as it was recently revealed that Griezmann and Barcelona already made an agreement, even before his buyout clause was lowered dwn.

Thus, the Spanish Capital based club want to take the concern to the Spanish football authorities, since they feel that they were bluffed during the negotiations.

Although, it is also claimed that Atletico Madrid will accept the buyout fee, as they are in the need of compensating the amount they paid to Benfica for Joao Felix.

Therefore, with speculations of Barcelona are rising, it is expected that Griezmann will arrive at Barcelona before the Spanish Champions leave for the pre-season tour this summer.
