N'Golo Kante injury update: Chelsea hit with massive injury setback ahead of Europa league final

N’Golo Kante injury update: Chelsea hit with massive setback as N’Golo kante got a knee injury ahead of the Europa league final.

Chelsea are going to compete their city rivals in the much awaited all English Europa league final on Wednesday. This is the only chance for the Blues to secure a silverware this season.

However, the West-London club are at a significant disadvantage now, as their star midfielder is set to miss the Europa league final against Arsenal.

Thus, giving a major shock to Chelsea, as Kante has been a crucial player for the Blues this season and might have made a significant difference to the game.

It is further reported, Kante is understood to have damaged the knee in a session on Saturday and departed the pitch in clear discomfort.

With Antonio Rudiger, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek ruled out for the final, Kante becomes the fourth injured player in the squad ahead of the game.

Thus, compelling Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri to start the midfield trio of Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho and Ross Barkley.

On the other hand, Arsenal would be relieved to know this update as the absence of French International would enhance the Gunners’ chances to dominate the midfield.

Arsenal desperately want to win this game, since it is their only shot to qualify for the next edition of the Champions league as they finished at the fifth spot in the Premier league table.

Additionally, if Arsenal wins the final, then it will be their first European silverware in the history of the North-London club.

Thus, both the teams have a lot at stake while they face each other on the night of finale in Baku.
