Two old rivals clash on New Year’s day. The heavy weights of the EPL are trying to find their way back; especially the Gunners, who have a marathon to win if they are still aiming a Champions League spot. The hosts are looking to avoid losing five consecutive home matches in all competitions for the first time in their history. United have lost three of their last four away EPL games against Arsenal.
Arteta has already lost a home game against United in the EPL this season; however the Spaniard has certainly brought a lot of improvement in the Gunners since his appointment. I expect goals from both the teams and that’s the main reason why I have selected only three defenders. Saka is once again expected to play in a defensive role for Arsenal and that’s why I have to select Mustafi over Maitland-Niles to manage my budget.
Shkodran Mustafi: Arsenal defense is hit by injuries which allows Mustafi to start against Man United. In his previous three appearances this season in the EPL Mustafi has successfully completed 123 passes and has cleared 9 dangerous attacks from the opposition.
Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof: The other two Man United defenders were Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Since the two centre backs have been in an excellent form and have started in all previous games for Man United; I was forced to select them in my team. Maguire has scored an average of 5.7 Dream 11 points in the past five matches, whereas Lindelof has scored 4.7 Dream 11 points.

Since I plan to invest heavily on the forwards I am left with only 4 slots in the midfield. I have to manage the remaining seven slots with a credit balance of 66.5 Cr; considering the forwards would cost me 31.5 Cr I have to manage my midfield within 35 Cr.
Mesut Ozil has been rejuvenated under Arteta and it’s just a matter of time before he comes back in form; Ozil is still Arsenal’s best playmaker and is expected to fire when needed the most. Bukayo Saka is an exciting player in spite of featuring in Gunners defensive unit. Saka also helps me in managing my budget as his Dream 11 price is only 8 Cr.
Daniel James and Andreas Pereira have collectively scored 4 goals, assisted 9 goals and have completed 945 passes so far in the EPL this season. James and Pereira offer electric speed while attacking. James has the ability to play on the right or the left wing; he is expected to play the right wingers role which allows Rashford to attack from the left wing.
