Malcom to Arsenal: The Gunners are eyeing a stunning move for Barcelona’s out of favour star and newest signing, Malcolm.

Barcelona midfielder Malcom signed for the club in the summer from FC Bordeaux. The Catalans made a dramatic transfer which required them to hijack a deal over AS Roma two months ago. But unfortunately for Barcelona, things have not gone too well with the Brazilian youngster.

He is extremely below the pecking order under Ernesto Valverde, who is hesitant with rotating his squad. The former Athletic Bilbao manager has used the 21-year-old very sparingly, to his utter discontentment. As a result, Malcom is looking out for greener pastures where he can play regularly.

Malcom to Arsenal:

According to the latest reports, Premier League giants Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for him now. The north London clubs are looking to strengthen their squads in January and have looked at Malcom as a solid addition three months before the transfer window even starts.

Both the clubs have already gotten in touch with Barcelona over a potential deal in the winter and have been informed that their offers could be considered if they are in the range of 43 million pounds.

Spanish media outlet Sport also reports that Arsenal and Inter Milan have registered their interest in the player, and are also inclined towards a loan deal in January.

Unai Emery is keen on continuing his squad’s improving performances and will look to add a few quality names in the January window. A midfielder will surely arrive after darkness has emerged over Aaron Ramsey’s future.

The Wales international has less than a year on his contract and there are no talks of a renewal going on.

What next?

Meanwhile, the Lilywhites are hoping to add a player to their small squad which they failed to strengthen in the summer transfer window.

There was a deal in principle for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, but that failed to materialize and Spurs were forced to come out of August empty-handed. Hence, they now feel that their woes can be redeemed through the signing of Malcom.
