Arsenal have completed their second transfer of the season according to reports in Di Marzio, which state that Lucas Torreira is now an Arsenal player.
Arsenal went into this transfer window with bucket loads of expectations as fans wanted to see some intent post the Wenger era.
While no ‘big’ name signings have been brought to the club yet, Arsenal are making the right moves with the funds at their disposal.
Stephan Lichtsteiner is a very able right back, who has had some good years with Juventus. He brings in a rich vein of experience with him and could really help sort out that fragile Arsenal defence.
And now with Torreira, Arsenal have a brilliant defensive midfielder at the Emirates, one that could give Xhaka a run for his money and play alongside him as well, if needed.
Torreira’s buyout clause at Sampdoria was for €25 million, but Arsenal have agreed to pay an extra €5 million, if Sampdoria agree to space out the payment.

However, it were the personal terms and agent fees that needed more discussion, but according to Gazette, fee and personal terms have both been agreed and Arsenal have their hands on a world class defensive midfielder.
According to SportItalia, Torreira has agreed a contract worth €3m per year plus bonuses with Arsenal.
Earlier Torreira was linked with Napoli, but it seems like the young midfielder wants to be part of this new project at Arsenal under Emery.
How do you think Torreira will fit in at Arsenal?
