Arsenal agree personal terms with Ivan Perisic

Arsenal agree personal terms with Ivan Perisic: The Gunners are close to making their first loan signing of the month.

Arsenal have been going through a rough patch at the moment. The side was recently knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth round by Manchester United.

Unai Emery’s side is currently fifth in the Premier League and level on points with the Old Trafford outfit.

Arsenal are linked with a number of arrivals in the January transfer window. However, it has been a largely disappointing month for the Gunners’ fan so far.

While the head coach admitted earlier this month that Arsenal are unable to make permanent signings, a possibility of loan moves looked increasingly bleak with the transfer window ending this month.

However, Arsenal have now gained a major boost as it has been reported that personal terms have been agreed with Ivan Perisic for a move to the Emirates.

Arsenal agree personal terms with Ivan Perisic:

BBC’s David Ornstein reported that Arsenal were in talks to sign Ivan Perisic on a loan deal, with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

It was also claimed that Perisic was keen on the move. The speculations grew after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s social media activity, where he ‘liked’ a post which stated that Perisic wants to join the Emirates outfit.

Tuttosport (via Libero) now report that personal terms with the 29-year-old attacker have been agreed.

According to the report, Arsenal will pay 3 million euros until June and sign the player on 6.5m euros per year.

However, an agreement with the club is yet to be reached.

David Ornstein has earlier reported that Inter Milan wants a transfer fee in the region of 35m pounds.

Arsenal need to act quickly if they want to secure the services of Ivan Perisic, though, as the transfer window closes this week.

What next?

The side, meanwhile, returns to action on Tuesday as they take on Cardiff City in the Premier League.
