Arsenal linked with £45m Sweden star Emil Forsberg

Arsenal have been quite active in the transfer market, with three signings already made this summer. The Gunners have completed the transfers of Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno and Sokratis Papastathopoulos. Besides, Arsenal are set to sign French youngster Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient, and are also close to complete a move for Uruguayan star Lucas Torreira, who is reportedly set to have a medical with the club.
And now, according to many British dailies, Arsenal are also tracking Sweden’s Emil Forsberg. The Swedish forward has been impressive during the World Cup, where he was influential in taking the team to the quarter-final of the tournament.

Earlier, SportExpressen reported that Arsenal have held talks with Emil Forsberg’s agent regarding a deal for the Swedish star.
Forsberg has been reportedly valued at £45m by RB Leipzig, as he continued to impress the club faithful. His partnership with Timo Werner has been central to RB Leipzig’s successful domestic campaigns.
The British dailies also report that Arsenal are facing stiff competition from fellow Premier League club Everton, who are also preparing a huge bid for Forsberg.
Meanwhile, Unai Emery has begun the training session at Arsenal this week, and is keen on wrapping up the deals to prepare for the new season. The North London club will have a blockbuster start to their Premier League season, as they face the defending champions Manchester City.
