Arsenal-Tottenham players fight: A ensued following Eric Dier’s goal during the season’s first North London derby.
The season’s first North London derby is being played at the Emirates Stadium at the moment. After Aubameyang scored the first goal of the game with a coolly taken penalty, Tottenham scored two quick-fire goals to make a comeback into the game.
Eric Dier scored the equalizer for Tottenham, while a controversial penalty decision gave Tottenham the lead through Harry Kane.
However, the play was halted for a significant period of time due to a fight which ensued right after Eric Dier gave visitors the equalizer in the game.
Here’s what happened:
Arsenal-Tottenham players fight:
Tottenham took the free-kick and Eric Dier was the right place at the right time to convert it into goal. Bernd Leno could’ve done better to save it, as he failed to collect the ball properly.
Eric Dier turned to Arsenal fans, and put his forefinger on his lips, seemingly telling the Gunners’ fans to be quiet. The celebration didn’t go down well with the Arsenal players who were warming up on the touchline.
A fight ensued as almost all the players gathered. Mauricio Pochettino was seen running towards the scene of the fight to calm the things down between both sets of players.
Arsenal, at the end of the first half, are trailing 1-2. Here’s the video of the moment:
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen whipped a free-kick in and Eric Dier flicked into the near post to create wild scenes at the Emirates with a priceless celebration.

Dier got a yellow for a finger on the lips, Thierry Henry got a statue for sliding towards the Spurs fans. Funny old game. #NLD ##afcvthfc

We’ve had some iconic shush celebrations at their place in the last few years, but the anger in Eric Dier‘s face and the piss it boiled puts it right to the top. pic.twitter.com/6FHSlZ6JP4

Dier went full VDV at the Emirates & for that, he is exempt from criticism until the end of his Spurs career. That is all.

Plenty of people will say that Eric Dier’s celebration was in poor taste but me? I live for stuff like that.

Dug Dier out a lot this season, but he’s solidified it for me today. He gets it. Going down in folklore. After the bomb, people talking about his shhh around a campfire in the nuclear winter.

Dier. A player that get’s it. And that’s exactly what any fan of any club want’s to see in a Derby.
