Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners received a boost in the pursuit of Thomas Partey, with Atletico Madrid convinced of his departure this summer.

Arsenal has received a massive boost over their attempts to land Thomas Partey to the Emirates stadium after Atletico Madrid are convinced that he will not stay with the team.

According to a report by the Spanish sources that Atletico Madrid is now starting to accept that he’s going to leave, with the Premier League believed to be the most likely destination.

On the other hand, Arsenal has been highly interested to sign the la Liga superstar who had a brilliant season with Los Rojniblancos. Mikel Arteta is looking for reinforcement in midfield.

And they view Partey as one of the ideal candidates to suit the profile. It has been reported that Arsenal does have funds to make big signings.

As of now, Partey still has 3 years left in his present contracts with the Spanish giants, but his buyout clause is only worth €50 million, and it seems under this market, it is not a huge price to pay.

With Granit Xhaka losing favours from club fans and administration and Matteo Guendouzi still young to play a vital role in the midfield, Partey seems as a refreshing choice for Arsenal.

Partey’s physical play has benefited Atletico Madrid and has managed to be everywhere on the pitch. Considering his position and role in the current setup of Atletico Madrid is a bit defensive.

Sill Partey managed to bag 3 goals and 1 assist in the 36 games he has played with the club this season across all competitions.  Now, it is remained to be seen what will be the decision of Arsenal towards this opportunity.
