Arsenal Transfer News: Mikel Arteta has urged the Gunners to hijack Tottenham’s January transfer target amid growing concerns over Hector Bellerin’s form.
Mikel Arteta has ordered Arsenal to challenge Tottenham for the signing of Norwich fullback Max Aarons according to the Daily Mail. They have reported that there is a growing fear within the Arsenal camp that Hector Bellerin is not the same player he was before he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.

Arteta has identified Aarons as the perfect player for his style of play. However, he will face tough competition from London rivals Tottenham. The Jose Mourinho led side are currently the frontrunners for his signatures. They could reportedly get the deal done this month for around £30million.
Max Aarons wanted by a host of Premier League sides
With Norwich on the brink of relegation, it is likely that the 19-year old would be more than willing to move to a Premier League side and continue playing in the English Top Tier. Norwich themselves should be open to the move as long as the teenager is allowed to stay behind on loan for the rest of the season.
Everton and West Ham have also expressed their interest in Aaron’s. However, it is likely that Arsenal and Tottenham will be the two big players in the race for his signatures. Arteta is said to be very keen on the player for his pace and stamina. However, prising the player out of Jose Mourinho’s hands may be a difficult task for the gunners.
Hector Bellerin, the man he will likely replace, has missed Arsenal’s last seven games in all competitions with a hamstring injury. Bellerin was side-lined for 10 months before due to his ankle injury. He made his comeback in September last year. However, he succumbed to yet another injury shortly before their match against West Ham last month.
