Arsenal Transfer News: Unai Emery ready to sign £80 million rated Premier League star in a swap deal

Unai Emery is ready to land Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha in a swap deal.

Arsenal will face off Chelsea in the UEFA Europa League finals later this month, and it would determine the transfer activities this summer. Should the Gunners overcome their rivals, Unai Emery’s side will take part in the Champions League next season. It would be a huge sigh of relief for the London Reds if they manage to bring back that particular competition to the Emirates Stadium.

It would directly raise the funds for Unai Emery, who is still ameliorating the current side. According to the Metro, the Spaniard is keen on Crystal Palace Wilfried Zaha, who has reportedly told Roy Hodgson about his intentions to leave his club. The Nigerian International, who featured for England juniors, will have the eligibility to be counted as a home ground quota.

The 26-year-old wants to move to a Champions League club after proving himself with the Eagles for four years. The London club are coy on recouping 80 million for the attacker, but Unai Emery is pinning his hopes on the price tag falling down later in the transfer window.

Arsenal are unwilling to splash that amount, but they are ready to send Reiss Nelson, Carl Jenkinson, or Callum Chambers in the other side to cut down the transfer fee. Callum Chambers was part of the relegated Fulham side, Carl Jenkinson came back from injury after some time, whilst Reiss Nelson started on a high with Hoffenheim, but faded away slowly.

Liverpool and Manchester City are not interested in the attacker, whereas Chelsea have been hit with a two-transfer ban. Manchester United are unlikely to recruit another left winger, with Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford, if needed, are in the ranks. This means that the Gunners have a clear path to sign Wilfried Zaha in the summer window.
