Granit Xhaka's behaviour after loss to Eintracht Frankfurt leaves Arsenal fans furious

Granit Xhaka’s behaviour after loss to Eintracht Frankfurt by 2-1 leaves fans furious, widening the rift between him and fans even more.

Arsenal’s miseries in the season are not getting over. The Gunners under the charge of Unai Emery are slipping away from the possibility of the top-4 in the Premier League and last night the club lost to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa league which keeps Arsenal’s qualification still under doubt.

Thus, Arsenal’s fans are not ready to tolerate the Spaniard as the manager of the club and Emery is certainly under the scanner of losing his job. Meanwhile, Emery deployed Granit Xhaka in the midfield in the hope to get a positive result.

After his infamous incident with the fans at the Emirates a few weeks ago, it seemed that the Swiss International will never touch the ball for the Gunners ever again, as speculations mounted of his transfer in January.

However, Xhaka appeared for Arsenal and was cheered by fans at the Emirates while his name appeared during the lineup announcement. But the former Arsenal captain failed to bring any positive result for his side last night.

A 2-1 defeat piles more pressure onto the already heavily-weighted down shoulders of Emery, who could find himself out of a job very soon. Amidst all this, what actually fumed Arsenal fans was the reaction of Xhaka after the defeat.

As his teammates marched out of the pitch with absolute disappointment, Xhaka was seen smiling and laughing with the opposition team and not bothering about his team’s defeat at home.

The North London club needed a win to ensure their qualification into the next stage, but with this defeat, it has certainly delayed it and in the worst situation, Arsenal can end up 3rd in the table if they lose to Standard Liege in the last group stage match.
