Arsenal vs Tottenham highlights: Arsenal won the first North London derby in emphatic fashion, as they defeated Tottenham 4-2.
Arsenal won the first North London derby convincingly under Unai Emery, as they defeated Tottenham 4-2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the star of the night as he scored a brace, while Lacazette gave the lead in the second half.
Lucas Torreira marked his first goal for Arsenal since joining the club in the summer with a brilliant goal from a relatively difficult angle.
Earlier, Tottenham led at halftime through two quick goals from Eric Dier and Harry Kane, but failed to build on the momentum in the second half.
The evening also saw a touchline brawl in the aftermath of Eric Dier’s ‘shush’ celebration, as the Arsenal substitutes on the touchline didn’t take the celebration well.
With this win, Arsenal are now level at points with Tottenham, but move into top-4 on goal difference. Tottenham, meanwhile, have slipped to the fifth position after starting the week at 3rd.

Astonishing to watch this North London Derby. A heartpounding mix of Skill, Tenacity, and Total Chaos. Above all the Passion, captured by Lucas Torreira’s face, overwhelmed by emotion when he scored. A reflection of why we love football. Few things make you feel more Alive pic.twitter.com/lMavIdq8LL

Remember when people used to say that Arsenal would follow United’s path down regression following Wenger’s departure? Wrong. Good recruitment and a progressive manager will change that. Next stop: Old Trafford.

Unai Emery has been at Arsenal for well over 5 months now and he’s already shown clear identity and a fantastic style of play, something Jose Mourinho has failed at in 3 years at Man United.

Man Utd next for Arsenal. Win at OT and they will leave United dead and buried in top four race. If they’re not already…
