Ramsey signs pre-contract agreement with Juventus

Aaron Ramsey signs pre-contract agreement with Juventus after passing a 2-part medical with the club.

The Aaron Ramsey transfer saga finally comes to closure as the midfielder has finally signed a pre-contract agreement with Juventus.

The Arsenal midfielder will join the Italian club in the summer after the end of the current season.

Ramsey joined Arsenal in 2008 from Cardiff City, and played a key role in the three FA Cup titles the side won during his time at the club.

Here are the full details of the deal:

Aaron Ramsey signs pre-contract agreement with Juventus:

Aaron Ramsey signed a new contract with Arsenal in 2014. The Welsh midfielder confirmed in December that he would see out his contract at the club.

The talks between the club and the midfielder for a new contract broke down in September last year.

Aaron Ramsey has now reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer.

According to David Ornstein from BBC, the Welsh midfielder completed a two-part medical with the club during the January transfer window.

Ramsey will officially join Juventus on June 30.

Ornstein also reports that Ramsey will become the highest-paid player from Great Britain in his contract with the club. The Welsh midfielder is set to earn over £400k/week at Juventus.

The midfielder earlier talked about the failure to sign a new deal at Arsenal.

The Arsenal midfielder spoke about his contract situation for the first time in October last year. Ramsey insisted that he was under the impression that he would sign a new deal with the club.

“Everything has been going great with the club – we thought we were in a position where we had agreed a deal but that’s no longer the case.

“So I just have to carry on playing my football and do my best for Arsenal this season and I’ll leave the rest with the club now,” Ramsey had said at the time.

“Am I disappointed? That’s a decision that they have made and things happen in football and you just have to get on with it and carry on playing the best I can. That’s all I am concentrating on and giving my best for Arsenal,” he added.
