Barcelona are prepared to offer three first-team stars to Paris Saint Germain to bring Neymar back to Nou Camp. The Brazilian signed for the French side in 2017, but is desperate to get reunited with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez again.
The 27-year-old is contracted with Paris Saint Germain until 2023 and it would take more than 250 million to lure him away from Parc Des Princes. The negotiations are underway between Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain and there is a huge possibility of a move surfacing in July.
Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu is well-equipped to send Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti or Ousmane Dembele in another side as part of Neymar’s swap deal, as per Brazilian publication Globo Esporte.
Since the reigning Spanish Champions are not facilitated to spend more than 200 million on a single player, they are hoping to convince the French club for a swap deal.
The fee is set to be around 100 million, in addition to a few players in an exchange deal. Those three players are touted to leave the club, but Ernesto Valverde will not be keen on losing two from that list as they have an abundance of experience at the top level.
On Monday, Barcelona’s spokesman, Josep Vives, gave a press conference and misjudged when asked about Neymar.
“This spokesman never discards anything, we’ll never talk about Neymar or anyone else. I’m not talking about operations, it would hurt the club, “Vives said.
Frenkie De Jong’s incoming will limit Ivan Rakitic’s game time at Nou Camp, who is also being linked with a move to Manchester United. Samuel Umtiti’s inconsistency and undergoing knee injury has forced Barcelona to place him on the transfer list. Ousmane Dembele’s attitude does not amuse Barcelona’s board and manager, who will be open to selling him for a suitable offer.
