Ashish Nehra feels MS Dhoni quit captaincy at the right time
MS Dhoni’s name is cheered by many. The number of supporters is relatively way ahead than the infamous haters. He has achieved so much during his leadership times.
Having called it quits from captaincy role, he lost some weight on his shoulders so that he would get the freedom to bat on well. He is still nurturing the players in the team.
Former India bowling great Ashish Nehra feels that MS Dhoni stepped down from captaincy role at the right time. This means that the future of Indian cricket is safe.
The wise man also knew that time was coming and the rest is history. He made an ‘unselfish’ decision to quit Tests. It was an easy decision for him to quit captaincy.
“This was not an easy decision. Didn’t take it overnight, was waiting for the right time. I can say Indian cricket is in safe hands,” Nehra said in a chat with ANI.
Talking about the comparison between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, Nehra said that both of them possess different traits. He cited that MS Dhoni is a cool customer who addresses things in his typical style. Coming to Virat Kohli, he is aggressive.
“Both are completely different personalities-MS Dhoni is more of a cool and calm person, Kohli is full of energy and aggressive. MS has done wonderfully well, he gave the captaincy to Virat at the right time,” Nehra said.
