Twitter reactions on CSK reaching IPL 2019 finals

Twitter reactions on CSK reaching IPL 2019 finals: Twitter was jubilant on watching the defending champions reach another IPL final.

During the Qualifier 2 of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals at Visakhapatnam, Chennai Super Kings defeated Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets to enter yet another IPL final.

In what was a comprehensive 148-run chase, Chennai ended up winning the match in the penultimate over with middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu (20*) and all-rounder Dwayne Bravo (0*) remaining unbeaten till the end.

CSK thrived on both their opening batsmen in Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson scoring individual half-centuries. An 81-run opening partnership had laid a perfect foundation for the others to bank upon. Despite the defending champions lost a few wickets towards the end, the start provided by their opening batsmen didn’t see them much trouble.

While Watson scored 50 (32) with the help of three fours and four sixes, du Plessis scored 50 (39) with the help of seven fours and a six. With bowling figures of 4-0-20-1, Trent Boult was the pick of the bowler for DC.

After Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and chose to field, Delhi ended up scoring 147/9 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who came in to bat at No. 5 in the ninth over, top-scored for DC scoring 38 (25) with the help of four fours and a six.

With bowling figures of 4-0-19-2, CSK all-rounder Dwayne Bravo was the pick of the bowlers for the defending champions.
