Arsene Wenger’s time at Arsenal may indeed be coming to an end. (Au Revoir Wenger? Arsene tells his players that he is leaving !)
After spending 20 years as the head coach of Arsenal Football Club, Arsene Wenger has come under increasing pressure from his own fans over the last few years with reports of in fighting among the fans being a common thing.
While Wenger has remained steadfast in his belief that he is the best man for the club, there have been rumors that the pressure might have got to the great Frenchman.
Reports have suggested that Wenger has told his players informally that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season. It should be noted that he is yet to tell the club of his final decision. (Au Revoir Wenger? Arsene tells his players that he is leaving !)
Juventus boss, Massimiliano Allegri, has already verbally agreed to take over Arsenal is indeed Wenger quits in the summer. If that would indeed be true it would prove to be a bittersweet end for Arsene.
Arsene Wenger’s first 8 years at the club were sensational. He was also the driving force behind the construction of the Emirates Stadium which has taken the club as a whole to new heights.
But his inability to win trophies over the last decade has cast a huge shadow on his previously impeccable career as the Arsenal manager.
If this is indeed the end for Wenger, then you could be sure that he would want to leave on a high. (Au Revoir Wenger? Arsene tells his players that he is leaving !)
Arsenal face Bayern Munich tonight in what would likely be Wenger’s last game in the Europe. Let’s hope he goes out with a bang !
