The Royal Rumble is done and dusted, and the WWE is well on it’s way on the Road to Wrestlemania.
The Rumble was a brilliant event overall, as we saw many shocks, including one incredible debut in the shape of Ronda Rousey. With Asuka and Nakamura winning the women’s and men’s Rumble matches, we can expect to see some amazing main events at Wrestlemania.
That being said, we will come across WWE Elimination Chamber at the end of the month, which is expected to be one of the best shows of the year. With Brock Lesnar currently without any opponent for ‘Mania, the Elimination Chamber will provide a great opportunity to find out who will face the Beast at the biggest event of the year.
The Elimination Chamber participation matches have already begun, with John Cena, Elias and Braun Strowman already punching their tickets in the big match.
It is also reported that Reigns and Seth Rollins will be added into the match, with the last member still undecided. Jason Jordan was expected to be the final member, but his neck injury may cause a change a plans.
We also learnt that the Alexa Bliss will defend her title in the first ever women’s elimination chamber match. Bliss is expected to defend her title against Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose in the what is expected to be a terrific contest.
With Ronda Rousey expected to face Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania, nothing as of yet has been planned for the Raw Women’s championship. If Bliss does survive the chamber with her title intact, she is widely expected to face Asuka at Wrestlemania.
Roman Reigns is the favourite to win the Men’s elimination chamber match, as he is widely expected to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at Mania.
Reigns and Lesnar famously fought in the main event of Wrestlemania 31, in what was a thrilling contest between the two stars. With the match hanging in the balance, Seth Rollins picked his moment and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, and won the WWE championship.
A Reigns-Lesnar main event will surely attract eyeballs, and garner a lot of anticipation ahead of what is shaping up to be one of the best Wrestlemania match cards in recent memory.
