Barcelona complete the signing of Brazilian midfielder for 40m
Barcelona have completed their first signing after Neymar’s sale, as they have finalized the move for ex-Tottenham player Paulinho.
The Brazilian midfielder, who moved to China from England two years ago, was considered to be a flop signing in the Premier League.
Barcelona were on the market for a midfielder, as they are looking to strengthen that area of their team. Finding a replacement for Iniesta is nigh on impossible for the Catalan club, as the irreplaceable Andres has huge shoes to fill.
Things are looking up for Paulinho, as he has made himself a regular in the Brazil side. With the world cup looming in sight, Paulinho realizes that he needs to play in a more competitive league if he wants to start in Brazil’s first game of the world cup.

The box to box midfielder played a crucial role in Evergrande winning last year’s Chinese Super League. His move to China has proved to be a very beneficial one for the Brazilian, as he has taken his game to a whole new level.
Barcelona are also in talks to sign Liverpool’s Phillippe Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele. But both clubs have so far remained firm in their stance to not sell their respective players.
